Cinnamon Flavour Comes Through
Bottom Layer:
Butter or hard margarine, softened

All-purpose Flour

Coarsely crushed corn flakes 1

Filling:
Butter or hard margarine softened

Bottom Layer:
Mix butter, both sugars and egg in bowl.
Add flour, salt and baking soda. Stir well. Mix in cornflakes. Spread 1/2 in greased 8 x 8 inch
pan
Filling:
Mix butter, sugar, syrup and cinnamon well in bowl.
Add dates and walnuts. Spread over layer in pan. Sprinkle with second 1/2 cp corn flake mixture.
Bake in 350f (175 c) oven for about 30 minutes. Cuts into 25 squares.
